Common Tower Erection Procedures
Three main ways to erect a Self-supporting Tower.
Crane
This is by far the most preferred way of erecting a tower by mobile cranes if it is readily available at a reasonable cost.
Gin Pole
It is most commonly used device in India to raise sections of tower steel or equipment into position.
We do also have available Gin Poles for erection purposes for all towers.
Piece by Piece
This is by far the most time consuming way to erect a tower, however it is an option for the owner who doesn't have room for a crane, and who has no Gin Pole.
This method involves lifting all structural members piece by piece and then building the tower in the air as it is climbed, one leg at a time, and one diagonal brace at a time.
